Big Block Brewery expanding to old HiFi Brewing location in Redmond

The Sammamish-based brewery is in the process of opening a second taproom and brewery in Redmond.

Sammamish-based Big Block Brewing is expanding into the old HiFi Brewing space in Redmond following HiFi Brewing’s closure earlier this year.

A sign posted on the storefront at 14950 Northeast 95th Street stated Big Block Brewing had applied for a liquor license to operate a taproom as well as sell bottled beer.

The owners of Big Block Brewing were not available for comment at the time of publication, but the company’s website states a second taproom and brewery will be announced. It is unclear if the Redmond location will house both the taproom and brewery, but the company’s website states it is transitioning to a “larger, more accessible brewing location in the summer of 2018.”

The Big Block Brewing taproom and brewery in Sammamish opened in 2012.

HiFi Brewing closed in February after five years. It was a popular location for locals and hosted weekly video game competitions.
