Local celebrity John Curley will be the master of ceremonies for the Greater Redmond Chamber of Commerce’s 66th Annual Gala and Auction for the second straight year.

The event, one of the chamber’s major fundraisers of the year, will be held Feb. 24 at Willows Lodge in Woodinville with festivities starting at 5:30 p.m. Dinner and the live auction will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Curley, the former host of the show, “Evening Magazine,” public speaker and current Sammamish City Council member, will keep the excitement rolling throughout the live auction, which will feature a variety of items, including stays at local hotels.

A new auction item this year is a lunch date with Redmond Mayor John Marchione, who will personally chauffeur the highest bidder in a Zipcar Mini-Cooper to Matts’ Rotisserie in the Redmond Town Center. Zipcar is a membership-based car sharing company providing automobile reservations to its members, billable by the hour or day. The highest bidder will also get a complimentary first-year Zipcar membership.

Invitations to the fundraiser were sent out this week and tickets are still available for $95. Friends of the Chamber sponsorships are also available for $250, which includes two tickets and free business promotion. In addition, Corporate Tables, which includes 10 tickets for $2,000 with free business promotion are also available.

The chamber is looking for more silent and live auction sponsors. For more information, visit www.redmondchamber.org or call (425) 885-4014.
