Local celebrity John Curley will be the master of ceremonies for the Greater Redmond Chamber of Commerce’s 65th Annual Gala and Auction.

The event, one of the chamber’s major fundraisers of the year, will be held on Friday, Feb. 25 at the Willows Lodge in Woodinville, with festivities starting at 5:30 p.m.

The gala will feature a silent auction with more than 200 items such as spa getaways, artwork, wine tastings, and gift baskets. Curley, the host of the former show, “Evening Magazine” and current Sammamish City Councilmember, will keep the excitement rolling with activities like the balloon pop, heads or tails and the Best of Live. He will also auction off top live auction items which include a vacation to Cabo San Lucas, a stay in a private home in Manzanillo Mexico, an Alaska fishing excursion, three nights at Sunbanks Resort and a week in Hawaii.

“Chamber auctions are some of the most fun,” Curley said. “Everyone knows one another and that makes for lively bidding. I always have a few tricks up my sleeve and I keep them there till just the right time.”

The 160 dinner tickets are already sold out, but there are still tickets available to attend without dinner and participate in all the auction and evening festivities for $65.
