Microsoft store to open at Bellevue Square

The Seattle area's first Microsoft Store is set to open soon in Bellevue Square. This will be one of only seven such stores in the world. The opening date and event details have not yet been released.

The Seattle area’s first Microsoft Store is set to open soon in Bellevue Square. This will be one of only seven such stores in the world. The opening date and event details have not yet been released.

Microsoft, based in Redmond, opened its very first retail store on Oct. 22, 2009 in Scottsdale, Ariz., to give shoppers a chance to experience the best of Microsoft and its partners. Additional stores have opened in Mission Viejo, Calif., Lone Tree, Colo. and San Diego.

Next, Microsoft will open stores in three new locations at the Oakbrook Center near Chicago, Mall of America in Minneapolis and at Bellevue Square here on the Eastside.

Microsoft Stores will offer hundreds of products including PCs running Windows 7, computing accessories, Xbox consoles and accessories, Windows Phones, Zunes and first-and-third-party software titles.
