The Greater Redmond Chamber of Commerce attracted 110 golfers to its 9th Annual Golf Tournament on Tuesday at Willows Run Golf Course in Redmond.

The golf tournament is one of two major fundraising events held annually that together support more than 50 percent of the chamber’s annual budget.

The event supporters included Microsoft and Nintendo, which were the underwriters.

“It was our goal once again, as the chamber did last year, to increase player, sponsor and volunteer involvement in the golf tournament and to elevate the quantity and quality of the networking experience for the Eastside business community, all in support of the Greater Redmond Chamber of Commerce, its members and the community at large,” said chamber board member Eric Scroggins of Banner Bank, who chaired the event committee. “I’m delighted with what we as a chamber have accomplished with this tournament through the hard work of so many dedicated supporters of the chamber.”

Activities for the day included a Mega Putt challenge and an 18-hole tournament. The Falco Sult team won with a score of 52.

Sponsoring businesses were set up at holes offering games, giveaways and snacks for players.

Contests were staged in various holes with chances to win a $40,000 car from BMW of Bellevue or double your money with the Hit the Circle opportunity and a chance to win a keg.

The final contests gave 10 qualified golfers a chance at $100,000 in a hole-in-one challenge and one qualifier for the $5,000 putting contest.

There was also a barbecue and live auction.
