This week, Myers Chiropractic Center a high-tech and holistic chiropractic healing practice in Redmond, moved to a larger space at 15965 N.E. 85th St., Suite #101 in the City Center Building.

The new office triples the practice space, allowing owner Dr. Jim Myers to add digital x-ray services, increase his rehabilitation exercise therapy offerings and add massage therapy to his practice.

“Chiropractic medicine is more than just moving bones in the spine,” Myers said. “If you don’t retrain your musculoskeletal system the pain will return. You’ll have to come back again and again. I believe for chiropractic therapy to work, it requires a more holistic approach including rehabilitation exercise therapy to retrain your muscles and the healing power of massage. These two additional pieces of the puzzle work with adjustments to help the body heal and to prevent future issues.”

Myers’ new 1,600-square-foot office offers patients a large reception area, three treatment rooms, a large rehab exercise room — complete with new equipment — and two massage rooms. One of the treatment rooms will feature a brand-new Fuji digital x-ray machine, which will allow Myers to immediately diagnose each patient’s concerns, determine a treatment plan including corrective exercises and begin treatment as soon as possible.

“As we grow from birth, natural neurological pathways develop, yet as we develop habits — sitting in front of a computer all day for instance — we move away from those healthy pathways, which can result in a lot of pain,” Myers said. “I strive to help reawaken those dormant natural pathways, strengthening them. Not only does this heal the current issue and help avoid future problems, it also helps improve daily activities. Moms can lift their kids more, a software engineer can work longer pain free and an athlete can play their sport more efficiently.”

Myers has practiced chiropractic medicine for more than 16 years, the last nine of which have been at Myers Chiropractic Center in Redmond. He is a member of the Redmond community, involved in both the Redmond Chamber of Commerce and Redmond Rotary Club. As a part of his expansion, Myers welcomed Cydney Hite, LMP, MMP, a licensed massage therapist with five years of medical massage experience.

Planning for a public open house later this month is currently underway.
