Business, community and political leaders — including Sen. Andy Hill (R-45th Legislative District), Rep. Ross Hunter (D-48th Legislative District) and Microsoft Executive Vice President Brad Smith — will speak at OneRedmond’s gala event at 6 p.m. on June 5 at the Redmond Marriott Town Center.
“OneRedmond is an innovative public-private partnership which combines the former chamber of commerce with the former economic development group, the former nonprofit community organization and the City of Redmond,” explains Dr. Eric Scroggins, a vice president at Banner Bank and president of OneRedmond’s board of directors.
At the gala, OneRedmond will outline operational plans for the year ahead. OneRedmond is led by a group of investors whose board of directors includes employees from EvergreenHealth, Physio-Control, Microsoft and Group Health, as well as local small businesses.
“The idea is to focus the strengths and talents of our organizations and individuals in the Redmond area to accomplish strategic economic and community development goals to benefit everyone who works and lives here,” says Redmond Mayor John Marchione. “Through enthusiastic collaboration, we can strengthen existing businesses, attract industries of the future, and enhance educational, cultural and recreational opportunities for our residents.”
