It has become the custom for breweries across the land to release their pumpkin ales in early October. These spiced ales range from very strong ales for the beer aficionado to light session beers for the common palate.
What does Bushnell Craft Brewing Company in Redmond believe? “It is never too late to release the ‘right’ pumpkin-spiced ale,” reads a press release.
When asked about the late-season release, Kempton Bushnell — company founder, vice president of sales and marketing, lead cook, head bartender, chief waiter and assistant brewmaster — said, “We just hired a new brewmaster (Jamie Richard) and we wanted him to develop his first great beer on our equipment and we didn’t care how long it took as long as it was awesome. He nailed it!”
Bushnell Craft is introducing its first seasonal brew, Hot Walker — Pumpkin Spiced Ale, in two separate events. First, there will be a private release party for Bushnell Craft 144 members from 1-5 p.m. on Nov. 15 and the beer will be released to the public at 3 p.m. on Nov. 22.
The brewery is located at 8461 164th Ave. N.E.
