The Greater Redmond Chamber of Commerce held its annual golf tournament and auction on Monday and it was a swinging success, according to Danielle Lynch, interim chamber president.
Lynch said the chamber does not release dollar amounts raised at its fundraisers, but did say that the event raised “about 10 percent more than last year.”
In fact, Lynch said Monday’s event at the Plateau Club in Sammamish was chamber’s most successful golf tournament fundraiser in five years.
“It went really well,” she said. “Everyone had a really good time, despite the weather.”
In addition to 18 holes of golf and various golf contests, the event included a dinner, along with a silent and live auction and more.
Lynch said there were 114 golfers who played rounds in the afternoon and about 200 people attended the auctions and dinner later that evening.
The second annual “Galleria on the Green,” featuring 26 different vendors, was also a big hit, Lynch said. The Galleria allowed participants to browse a variety of items and services offered by local companies and businesses, from jewelry and wines to spa services.
