Redmond salon relocates to accommodate its growing needs

C. Joy Salon recently relocated to 16122 N.E. 87th St. in Redmond. “We were bursting at the seams,” said C. Joy Salon owner, Carolann Joy Schmidt. C. Joy Salon recently relocated to 16122 N.E. 87th St. in Redmond.

“We were bursting at the seams,” said C. Joy Salon owner, Carolann Joy Schmidt. As her lease was coming to an end, Schmidt realized it was providential to upgrade to a more visible and larger location to accommodate her growing needs.

The new salon is close to 1,200 square feet and includes a store front with ample parking.

“The new location has given us the opportunity to create a spray tanning room and extra massage service room. We were really able to put our artistic signature into the remodel and create a haven,” said Schmidt. The result is the combination of a rustic yet feminine feel, capturing the ideal atmosphere for the salon.

C. Joy Salon has been providing salon and spa services to Redmond residents for several years.

The salon launched a program called “Beauty for Women in Positive Transition,” which Schmidt said helps local women who are undergoing positive life transitions to feel confident, cherished and beautiful.

“This initiative was conceived in our strong desire to encourage, inspire and help local women coming out of sex trafficking, domestic violence and other devaluing situations,” she said.
