Redmond’s Thinkspace hosts ‘thinkcamp’ for business owners March 17

Redmond’s Thinkspace, which offers green office space and support services to small business owners, start-ups, entrepreneurs and tech companies, will present its second annual “thinkcamp” from noon-4 p.m. Wednesday, March 17.

The event, at 8201 164th Ave. NE, Suite 200 in downtown Redmond, will include representatives of as many as 75 companies, engaging with speakers on topics of interest to business owners in this challenging economy.

Among guest speakers will be Sean O’Driscoll, on the subject of “Building Brand Advocates through Influence Engagement.” The session will explain how fostering deep connections with a company’s most loyal and respected fans can help to infuse the customer’s voice back into the business and empower customers to speak on behalf of the brand.

Stacie McClure, CPA will speak about how to “Protect Your Business Assets.”

“Twitter for Business” will be the topic for Steve Broback of The Parnassus Group, advising attendees on how Twitter can be a business-building tool.

Jeni Craswell of The Redmond Foundation will discuss “Start-Up: The Non-Profit Way” with steps to setting the stage for success in ways that differ from traditional entrepreneurial projects.

Shannon Evans will lead a discussion on “Local Search Optimization.”

Sam Shmikler of Resilient & Tested will talk about “Getting Back to ‘Business As Usual’ After an Unusual Disaster.”

Paul Anderson of Prolango will present “Psychology of Sales,” teaching attendees how to close more sales and increase success in a difficult economy.
