SoulFood CoffeeHouse starts a fundraiser amid COVID-19 challenges

The goal is to get rid of the debt that was taken on during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Redmond’s local coffee joint, SoulFood CoffeeHouse, started a GoFundMe page to assist with keeping the businesses foundation strong.

In the GoFundMe post—organized by SoulFood CoffeeHouse—it’s described house the business received timely grants which allowed them to retain staff and meet payroll, among other, obligations.

“As time went on, though, it was impossible not to feel the crunch beyond that assistance,” stated the post. “Complicating matters, our post holders, Kevin and Makia Oaks, have been dealing with Kevin’s fight with cancer, a battle that he is winning!”

The goal of the fundraiser is to get rid of the debt that was taken on during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This space has always been a magical gathering place for the community, a place where you can come and Feed Your Spirit. This is a magic that has deeply touched our lives and, we trust, yours, as well,” stated the post.

SoulFood CoffeeHouse is seeking to raise $160,000 to cover the debts, and as of the time of writing this, the business has raised $2,155
