Gravel is a hassle at Saturday Market | Letter

I appreciate your coverage of the Saturday Market here in Redmond. It’s a wonderful opportunity to find some real treasures.

Unfortunately, the Redmond location makes it impossible for people who are wheelchair dependent to have access. I love to go, but these days I spend my money at the Issaquah’s Saturday Market because it is held on a paved parking area, not gravel. I love the fresh flowers, so I go almost every Saturday.

I have tried to take my mother (who is wheelchair dependent) to the Redmond festivities, but no luck in pushing her. Even a friend who was on a scooter due to a hurt foot could not get through the gravel.

There are lots of empty parking areas around the town center or around Redmond. Could the Redmond Saturday Market organization please consider making it possible for everyone to attend?
