‘Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day’ runs May 7-23 at SecondStory Repertory

SecondStory Repertory (SSR), located upstairs at Redmond Town Center, continues its 11th season of children's theatre with a musical adaptation of Judith Viorst's "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day." Music is by Shelly Markham. The production runs May 7-23 with public performances at 7 p.m. on Fridays; and at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. All tickets are $9.

“Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” runs approximately 60 minutes with no intermission. The show is recommended for school-aged children over the age of four. Performances for families with children under the age of four will be held on Sunday, May 9 and Sunday, May 16 at 1 p.m.

The show is directed by Susanna Wilson, with music direction by Cathy Bleecker. The cast features University of Washington student Andrew Murray as Alexander and performers Jillian Boshart, Bobby Temple, Erin Hutson, Nick Edwards and SSR favorites Pat Haines-Ainsworth and Mark Waldstein.

The show is stage-managed by Samantha Hecker and choreographed by Susanna Wilson, with lighting by Pete Dingfield and costuming by Laurie Roberts.
