Churches thank community for supporting Tent City at uplifting choir performance

More than 170 people from several different area churches performed Oct. 4 at “An Ecumenical Musical Gathering, One Voice in Song and Praise” ceremony, hosted by St. Jude Catholic Church in Redmond.

Choir and church members from Redmond Presbyterian Church, Faith Lutheran Church of Redmond, Redmond United Methodist Church and St. Jude Catholic Church of Redmond, St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church of Woodinville and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of Sammamish participated in the event.

This was a “hospitality event” for local churches to say thank you to the community for supporting Tent City 4, which was recently hosted by St. Jude Catholic Church.

The final hymn, “Thanks Be To God,” sung by all 170 combined choir members, under the direction of Sue Shellooe of St. Jude Sanctuary Choir, drew a standing ovation.
