Eastside Symphony opens its season Oct. 20 in Redmond

Alexei Girsh will begin his 21st season with Saint-Saëns’ Violin Concerto No. 3 (1st mvmt.), Lalo’s Cello Concerto, and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade. The Oct. 20 concert will be highlighted with performances featuring two Young Soloist winners — Mira Yamamoto and Audrey Chen. Yamamoto is a member of the Seattle Youth Symphony and also a student at the Seattle Conservatory of Music. Chen is the principal cellist of the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra and has distinguished herself in the Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside and the Seattle Young Artists Music Festival.
