Eastside Symphony presents free Christmas concert Dec. 13

The Eastside Symphony, under the direction of Redmond resident Maestro Alexei Girsh, presents its free Christmas concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13 at the Redmond High School Performing Arts Center, 17272 NE 104th St.

Santa will arrive to pass out candy canes to kids of all ages. This is a popular event, so arrive early to assure best seating.

Guest soloist for Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1, Movement 1 is Yling Tan Miller, a senior at the University of Southern California with a double major in Piano Performance and International Relations. She has worn numerous competitions in Washington and in 2006 won first place in the All-American Music Festival in Orlando, Fla.

Also on the Eastside Symphony’s Christmas concert program are Horn Fanfare, March of the Toys, Carol of the Bells, Festival of Carols, Sleigh Ride and more.
