Eastside Symphony’s Free Christmas Concert slated for Dec. 4

The Eastside Symphony’s traditional Free Christmas Concert will be Dec. 4 at 3 p.m. at the Redmond Performing Arts Center located at 17272 N.E. 104th St. in Redmond.

The concert will feature selections from Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” and “The Sleeping Beauty,” as well as Leroy Anderson’s “Christmas Festival” and “Sleigh Ride.”

Concertmaster Linda Vogt will perform Vittorio Monti’s famous “Czardas,” which is based on a Hungarian folk dance. Mark Baker will perform the first movement of Joseph Haydn’s “Trumpet Concerto.” Finally, percussionist Doug Wyatt will have the lead in Anderson’s “Typewriter,” performing on an authentic manual typewriter.

Santa Claus is also expected to make an experience.
