Faith Lutheran Church becomes new Reconciling in Christ congregation

Faith Lutheran Church of Redmond has become a Reconciling in Christ (RIC) congregation. The RIC program is for Lutheran communities that publicly welcome lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.

Faith gives the following public statement of welcome to the Eastside LGBTQ+ community, their friends and allies:

“We welcome all because God loves and welcomes all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, ethnicity, culture, age or relationship status. We welcome all without regard to addictions, physical or mental health, socioeconomic circumstances or anything that too often divides us. We welcome and continue to affirm all who are seeking God’s love and grace. Our unity is in Christ.”

In 2017, Faith Lutheran Church celebrates 70 years of ministry in Redmond. The congregation is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the largest Lutheran denomination in the United States. Faith’s pastor is Bob Lewis. For more information, visit www.faithluth.org.
