Ferry receives Nokomis Club scholarship

Jacob Ferry, 2017 graduate of Redmond High, is this year’s recipient of the $1,000 Nokomis Scholarship funded in memory of Audrey Gorlick. Ferry is the son of Michael and Cheryl Ferry of Redmond and will be honored at the Nokomis Club luncheon on June 30.

This scholarship recognizes high academics, community involvement, extracurricular activities and future goals.

Ferry plans to attend Seattle Pacific University majoring in sports medicine and exercise science.

Ferry volunteered with the athletic trainer at Redmond High in soccer, football and tennis, helped maintain public trails and environmental restoration in the Redmond area and coached his brother’s soccer team. He is also captain of his Crossfire soccer team and has played high-level soccer for six years and is a member of the Redmond High photo club.
