Michaela Fuller from Snoqualmie won the fourth annual Redmond’s Got Talent competition on March 19 at the Old Fire House Teen Center.

The 17-year-old performed original songs on both piano and guitar, wowing the judges, who compared her to a young Taylor Swift, according to Rana Shmait, teen center program coordinator. The first-place prize is four hours of recording in the Old Fire House’s recording studio, a $50 gift card and a spot on the Derby Days stage this summer.  Shmait said the competition was fierce this year with acts ranging from a teen solving several types of Rubik’s Cubes to a jazz band from Redmond High School playing Frank Sinatra classics.

This year’s finalist judges were Chris Cashman, local actor and comedian; Raven Zoe, singer songwriter; and Jessica Rubenacker, City of Redmond’s Arts and Culture administrator.

There were 15 acts in the semifinals on March 11 and six in the finals. More than 200 people attended the events.
