Three Redmond residents will be on stage when the Bellevue Community College Drama Department presents the classic musical, “The Music Man,” in four performances March 5-7. Redmond resident Tsige Tafesse, a graduate of Redmond High School, will play Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn, wife of the River City mayor and a major town gossip. Bethany Roddy, a home-schooling graduate, sings in the chorus, and Tania Anirudhan, a junior-high level home-schooled student, will appear as a member of the ragtag Kids’ Band. The Family Learning Center, a Choice school in the Lake Washington School District, presents “Sideways Stories from Wayside School,” a play adapted for the stage by John Olive, from the novels by Louis Sachar.
