Redmond High’s ‘Wedding Singer’ nominated for five 5th Avenue Theatre Awards

Redmond High School's production of "The Wedding Singer" has been nominated for five 5th Avenue Theatre Awards.

Redmond High School‘s production of “The Wedding Singer” has been nominated for five 5th Avenue Theatre Awards.

The 2010-11 5th Avenue Awards, will be held June 6 and cover categories including overall musical production, lead and supporting actors, chorus, direction, choreography, orchestra, design, lobby display and program design. Nominations are made by evaluators, who attend musical theater productions at high schools throughout the state.

“Wedding Singer” was nominated in the following categories: Outstanding Lobby Display; Outstanding Program Design; Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role (Geena Pietromonaco as Holly); Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role (Taylor Stutz as George); and Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Featured Ensemble Role (Miles Irwin as Reagan/Shane/Priest/Ricky/Suit).
