Redmond: Now and then

A look at Redmond back in the day.

In the early 20th Century, cars and congestion were in the far future, making paved roads a luxury.

A bank, however, was a key cornerstone of most towns and the high-end construction is evidence of the importance of the business. Today, there are no less than four banks in the same area and several dozen throughout Redmond, while this building stocks sandwiches and ice cream instead of dollar bills.
