Emerald Heights, a nonprofit senior living community in Redmond, hosted a family and friends “Parade of Love” for residents to safely interact with their loved ones during this social distancing time.

The parade participants met at Redmond High School parking lot on June 20 to decorate cars and then parade around the senior living community. Participants were asked to stay in their vehicles to waive, honk, flash their lights and show the resident’s some socially distant love.

Resident’s family members and friends decorated their cars with balloons, signs, streamers and washable paints. Emerald Heights residents then voted on the Best Decorated Car, with a prize for the winner.
