Alejandro Escovedo and his band The Sensitive Boys will be part of the line-up as the No Depression Festival 2010 comes to King County’s Marymoor Park in Redmond on Saturday, Aug. 21.

Gates open at noon and the festival entertainment begins at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $45 in advance or $50 the day of the event, not including fees. Marymoor Park information is available at 6046 W. Escovedo’s recent CD release, “Street Songs of Love” features music reminiscent of 1970s hipsters Mott the Hoople, David Bowie and Lou Reed. In fact, the CD features guest performances by Mott the Hoople leader Ian Hunter and Bruce Springsteen and was produced by Tony Visconti, a longtime Bowie collaborator.

Escovedo recently performed the song “Anchor” on “Late Night with David Letterman.” He and The Sensitive Boys will take the stage at Marymoor Park from 4:45-5:30 p.m. during the No Depression Festival 2010.

Other artists at the festival include The Maldives, Sera Cahoone, Chuck Prophet, Cave Singers, Lucinda Williams and The Swell Season.
