‘Vampire Academy’ author to promote new book at Borders

Richelle Mead, author of the young adult-oriented “Vampire Academy” series, will promote her new book, “Blood Promise” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25 at Borders Books and Music at Redmond Town Center.

She will read from the book, do signings and there will be giveaways and raffles at the event.

Originally from Michigan, Mead now lives in Seattle and works full-time on her urban fantasy books.

The “Vampire Academy” series, published by Razorbill Books (Penguin), thus far contains “Vampire Academy,” “Frostbite” and “Shadow Kiss.” The best-selling series has won honors from the American Library Association and follows the war between two races of vampires.
