April 30 work party at Watershed Preserve to celebrate Arbor Day

The City of Redmond and the Cascade Land Conservancy have partnered to sponsor a work party to celebrate Arbor Day on Saturday, April 30 from 9 a.m.-noon at Watershed Preserve, 21760 Novelty Hill Road.

The City of Redmond and the Cascade Land Conservancy have partnered to sponsor a work party to celebrate Arbor Day on Saturday, April 30 from 9 a.m.-noon at Watershed Preserve, 21760 Novelty Hill Road.

No experience is necessary and gloves, tools and other materials will be available. It is important to dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. All ages are welcome, although all volunteers under 18 must either be accompanied by an adult or bring a signed waiver (available at www.greenredmond.org, on the Volunteer Schedule page).

This event is part of the Last Saturday of the Month program from Green Redmond. The remaining events will take place on the following days and parks.

• July 30 – Idylwood Beach Park, 3650 West Lake Sammamish Parkway NE

• August 27 – Farrel-McWhirter Farm Park, 19545 Redmond Road

• September 24 – Farrel-McWhirter farm Park, 19545 Redmond Road

• October 29 – Hartman Park, 17300 NE 104 Street

All volunteers should look for Green Redmond Partnership event signs to sign-in and receive their tools and gloves.
