John James Audubon Elementary School in Redmond will celebrate its 50 years of educating students.

All current and former staff members and students invited to attend the school’s “A Hoot of a Homecoming” 50th birthday celebration on Nov. 19. The ceremony will include remarks from Lake Washington School District Superintendent Traci Pierce and Redmond Mayor John Marchione. Audubon students will also perform. Attendees are welcome to visit classrooms and a historical display will be available. Guests are invited to enjoy birthday cake, sign a memory book and reconnect with old friends.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. at Audubon elementary, 3045 180th Ave. N.E. in Redmond.
