Camp Unity tent encampment for the homeless moves to Redwood Family Church

On June 20, Camp Unity, one of two Eastside tent encampments for the homeless, finished its stay at Redmond’s St. Jude Catholic Church and moved to Redwood Family Church located at 11500 Redmond-Woodinville Road in Redmond. Camp Unity was granted a 110-day permit, and the city anticipates the encampment to stay at its new location in Redwood for 90 days.

Redwood Family Church successfully hosted Tent City 4 in the past and is poised to be as equally successful with the Camp Unity encampment.

“The City of Redmond appreciates the caring and compassion the Redwood Family Church and Camp Unity’s have for helping those in need of shelter,” said Mayor John Marchione.
