Car prowls continue to plague city; customer uses conterfeit bill at restaurant | Redmond Police blotter

Wednesday, March 31

Missing person: Redmond police responded to a call of a missing juvenile, in the 18400 block of Northeast 27th Way. The juvenile was located.

Unlawful entry: Redmond police responded to a burglary report at a home in the 6900 block of 142nd Court Northeast. Unknown suspect(s) may have been acquaintances of the homeowners’ son. There was no forced entry and no items were taken.

Bicycle theft: A bicycle theft was reported in the 16400 block of Cleveland Street.

Tuesday, March 30

Car prowl: A GPS unit and cash were stolen from a vehicle in the 13300 block of Northeast 74th Street at around 12:30 a.m.

Fireworks: Redmond police responded to a fireworks complaint in the 16800 block of Northeast 87th Street.

Monday, March 29

Drugs: Redmond police arrested a 20-year-old man for possession of marijuana and a pipe after officers responded to a report of juveniles trespassing at an abandoned house in the 11400 block of 160th Circle Northeast at around 6:30 p.m.

Fake money: A counterfeit bill was used at a restaurant in the 16500 block of Northeast 74th Street.

Car prowler escapes: Redmond police responded to a car prowl in-progress call at a shopping center in the 7500 block of 166th Avenue Northeast at around 2:40 p.m.

License plate stolen: A woman came out from doing some morning shopping at a business in the 17600 block of Northeast 76th Street and found that her license plate from her vehicle was stolen.

DUI: A 35-year-old man was arrested for DUI after being involved in a traffic accident in the 4000 block of 172nd Avenue Northeast.

Sunday, March 28

Domestic violence: Redmond police responded to a domestic violence incident at an apartment complex in the 17100 block of Northeast 80th Street. The suspect, who was related to the victim, took off before police officers arrived. Officers searched the area, but did not find him.

Car prowl: Several items, including a GPS unit, were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 17700 block of Northeast 90th Street.

Saturday, March 27

Domestic violence: A 24-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence at an apartment in the 7400 block of 159th Place Northeast at 8:30 p.m.

Car prowl: Someone broke into a locked vehicle in the 9600 block of 178th Place Northeast and stole some flight instruction manuals and equipment from the trunk at around 8 p.m.

Phone harassment: A woman came to the the Public Safety building in the 16600 block of Northeast 80th Street to report harassing phone calls from her estranged husband. She said she will be seeking a protection order.

Friday, March 26

Burglary: At around 8:30 p.m., Redmond police responded to a report of a residential burglary in the 10600 block of 181st Avenue Northeast. The suspect(s) entered the residence and stole jewelry and other household items.

Not without mom’s permission: A woman who lives in the 8700 block of 164th Avenue Northeast reported that her teenage son used her bank card without her permission.

Long-distance dialing: A man left his phone at a restaurant in the 2500 block of 152nd Avenue Northeast. When he returned, his phone was gone. He then went to cancel his service and found out that the person who stole the phone made $500 in international calls.

Drugs: An 18-year-old Redmond High student was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia during a random drug dog sweep at around 10 a.m.

Thursday, March 25

Quadruple whammy: A 48-year-old man was arrested for driving with a suspended license, DUI, outstanding warrants and driving without an interlock device after Redmond Police pulled him over near the 100 block of Redmond Way. The man was booked into King County Jail.

Motorcycle theft: A man who lives in the 13500 block of Northeast reported that his motorcycle was stolen from inside his garage sometime during the middle of the night.

Vandalism: Redmond Police responded to a report of damage to a salmon trap in the 17200 block of Redmond Way.
