City debuts new monthly informational program on RCTV

The City of Redmond recently launched Inside Redmond, a new monthly news and information program available to cable subscribers via RCTV, Redmond City Television and available 24/7 on-demand at the city’s Web site www.redmond.gov.

Inside Redmond features monthly interviews with Mayor John Marchione, key city staff and members of the community discussing news, services and events of importance to Redmond citizens.

The May edition includes excerpts from Mayor Marchione’s recent State of the City address to the Greater Redmond Chamber of Commerce; updates on new capital projects including the Northeast 36th Street Bridge and downtown street and infrastructure plans and current transition efforts within the city’s public safety services.

Also in this installment, city staff report on what’s new in Parks and Recreation programs and amenities, as well as how citizens can help shape the future of Redmond’s parks, open space, recreation facilities and arts programs by providing input into the city’s current PRO Plan (Parks, Recreation & Open Space) update process.

“One of my goals is to strengthen communications between the community and city government,” states Mayor Marchione. “Inside Redmond is one more vehicle to give residents the information they need to be an active and informed citizenry.”

Inside Redmond debuts the first Friday of each month at 7:30 p.m. on RCTV 21 (for Comcast customers) and RCTV 34 (for Verizon customers) and replays several times a week. For additional air dates and times or 24/7 on-demand viewing, please visit the City’s website at www.redmond.gov.
