City encourages residents to shape the Future of Fun

The City of Redmond invites everyone who uses Redmond’s parks, arts and recreation facilities and programs to participate in the Future of Fun initiative, which will result in the update of the Parks and Recreation Department’s long-range plan for capital projects. The Parks, Arts, Recreation, Culture and Conservation Plan is updated every six years.

Three public meetings will be held in May throughout the city. The meetings will take place from 6-8 p.m., with a short presentation at 6:30 p.m., followed by small group discussions about arts and culture, parks and recreation, trails and conservation. The meetings will be held on the following dates:

May 6 at Redmond High School, 17272 N.E. 104th St.

May 11 at VALA Art Center at Redmond Town Center, 7330 164th Ave. N.E.

May 21 at Rose Hill Middle School, 13505 N.E. 75th St.

Talk to city staff about what is important to you. Share some refreshments and win door prizes including the Future of Fun Grand Prize — a $50 gift card for one of Redmond’s restaurants.
