The City of Redmond is looking for workers to help build a jump-style bike park for mountain bikers and BMXers.
Initial training will be June 18-19 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hartman Park at Northeast 104th Street and 172nd Avenue Northeast, followed by a series of work parties in an attempt to complete the park by August. Trainees are directed to park at the end of 172nd near fields 5 and 6 and bring a water bottle, work gloves, sturdy work shoes and clothes.
In addition to training, tools and lunch will also be provided.
Additional builder training will be July 16-17 and August 13-14. The bike park’s grand opening is scheduled for August 20.
To RSVP for the work parties, contact Carolyn Hope at cjhope@redmond.gov or (425) 556-2313.
