County Council to hold public hearing on proposed sale of property to City of Redmond

The Metropolitan King County Council will hold a public hearing on Dec. 15 to take testimony on a proposed ordinance authorizing the sale of a one-acre parcel of surplus county property to the City of Redmond.

The Metropolitan King County Council will hold a public hearing on Dec. 15 to take testimony on a proposed ordinance authorizing the sale of a one-acre parcel of surplus county property to the City of Redmond.

The public hearing on the proposed transfer will be held before the full council at 1:30 p.m. at the King County Courthouse, 516 Third Ave., Seattle, Room 1001.

The property, located at 19101 N.E. Union Hill Road in Redmond, is part of the county’s  Roads Maintenance Section (Roads) Cadman Pit property. The parcel has been declared surplus, with the City of Redmond intending to use the parcel to install a stormwater detention pond and carry out a road widening project.
