DelBene invites all high school-aged artists to submit artwork by Friday

Congresswoman Suzan DelBene is reminding local high school-aged students that her office is accepting submissions for the annual Congressional Art Competition until 4:30 p.m. this Friday.

Congresswoman Suzan DelBene is reminding local high school-aged students that her office is accepting submissions for the annual Congressional Art Competition until 4:30 p.m. this Friday.

The contest is open to all students in grades 9-12 who either reside or attend high school in Washington’s 1st Congressional District. The winning entry will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year and runners-up will be displayed in Congresswoman DelBene’s congressional office.

To participate, students must complete and submit an entry form, which they can get by going to http://delbene.house.gov/serving-you/art-competition or by calling (425) 485-0085.

Entry forms need to be signed by the student, a parent or guardian, and a faculty member and mailed or delivered to the Congresswoman’s office by Friday. Artwork may be delivered or mailed to the Congresswoman’s Bothell office.

Congresswoman DelBene will host an awards reception to showcase the exhibit, honor all participants and announce awards from 6-7:30 p.m. on May 2.
