The Redmond Senior Center (RSC) will feature City of Redmond Deputy Finance Director Malisa Files at its next First Friday Coffee Chat on June 1 from 10-11 a.m.

The chat will be in the Fireplace Lounge at the RSC, located at 8703 160th Ave. N.E.

Files will be discussing how the city collects and uses various funds to keep it running strong and efficiently. She will also discuss the City of Redmond’s Budgeting by Priorities (BP) process, which emphasizes the value citizens receive for their tax dollars.

First Friday Coffee Chats are the first Friday of every month, but there will be no July event. The next event will be Aug. 3 and feature Lisa Rhodes, the city’s events manager. Rhodes will share how the city manages large-scale community events such as Derby Days, Redmond Lights and the upcoming Centennial  Celebration in December.
