Devin McMahon awarded scholarship from Eastside Audubon

Eastside Audubon has awarded Devin McMahon, a senior at Redmond High School, its Brian Gershon College Scholarship for 2010.

An enthusiastic conservationist, McMahon plans to major in biology and is particularly interested in conducting research. At Redmond High School, she has excelled academically while taking Advanced Placement and honors classes.

McMahon helped start the Bridge to Self-Sufficiency Club at Redmond High. Club members fundraise to help entrepreneurs in developing nations start their own businesses. She also volunteers at the county animal shelter.
