It will be formally announced at the second annual Dig Deep Walk for Water, an event where participants walk a loop with water on their backs to raise funds and awareness for the cause.

The Walk for Water event will take place on Friday, May 21 from 4-7:30 p.m. and the walk itself will begin at 5:15 p.m. at Redmond’s Farrel-McWhirter Park, 19545 NE Redmond Rd.

Walk for Water participants raise money by creating pledge pages. Students from several schools and youth groups in the area will attend.

A barbecue, child-friendly activities, music, and a celebration will follow the walk portion and Colvin and Grubb will present the $10,000 check to their partner organization, Water 1st International.
