DUIs and car prowls plague holiday season | Redmond police blotter

Tuesday, Dec. 21

DUIs: Redmond police arrested two men for investigation of DUIs in separate incidents. The first arrest happened at 1:03 a.m. near the corner of Northeast 90th Street and Willows Road and the second arrest occurred at 1:08 a.m. on Northeast 85th Street.

Monday, Dec. 20

Car prowl: Redmond police responded to a car prowl at a parking lot in the 14600 block of Northeast 95th Street, where the vehicle’s window was smashed and a video game system was stolen.

Sunday, Dec. 19

Car prowl: A house key and gift card were stolen from a vehicle in the 17600 block of Redmond Way.

Purse snatcher: An unknown suspect stole a purse from an empty chair at a restaurant in the 7200 block of 164th Avenue Northeast.

Saturday, Dec. 18

DUI: Redmond police arrested a 19-year-old woman for investigation of DUI in the 9500 block of Avondale Road. The officer observed several traffic violation before pulling the woman over, according to the police report. Another 19-year-old woman passenger was also arrested for investigation of minor in consumption.

Theft: A small metal box, containing donations to a church, was stolen from a vehicle, parked in the 12300 block of Red-Wood Road. The box was later found nearby. The victim told police that there didn’t seem to be anything missing from inside.

Car prowl: The driver’s side window of a vehicle parked in the 17200 block of Northeast 104th Street was smashed and two purses were stolen from the trunk of the vehicle.

Wrong way: A vehicle was seen going the wrong way on Redmond Way at around 2 a.m. The 39-year-old male driver was arrested for investigation of DUI.

Friday, Dec. 17

Car prowl: Someone entered an unlocked vehicle in the 5500 block of 160th Avenue Northeast and stole a purse and a GPS unit.

Thursday, Dec. 16

Fake tickets: Redmond police responded to a report of counterfeit concert tickets in the 17000 block of Northeast 80th Street. The investigation is ongoing.
