The City of Redmond will host an Earth Day planting event on Saturday, April 16 from 9 a.m.-noon at Farrel-McWhirter Farm Park, 19545 Redmond Road.  Tools, training, gloves, water and light refreshments will be provided.

Participants will plant native willow and dogwood plants along Mackey Creek.

The planting event will take place rain or shine so participants are encouraged to dress for the weather – including boots – as the area gets very soggy and wet. All participants are required to sign a volunteer agreement and those under 18 must have the signature of their parent or guardian.  Any participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

This event is in partnership with Adopt-a-Stream.
