Hundreds of children and their families came to the Redmond Senior Center Saturday morning to participate in the Redmond Eggstravaganza, a fun-filled Easter-themed event.

Among the many activities were an egg hunt on the lawn at City Hall, photos with the Easter bunny, a pancake breakfast, a crafts table, face-painting and carnival-style games.

Proceeds from the event went towards fundraising for the Redmond Lions and Kiwanis clubs.

“It’s important, especially since most of the activities are free,” City of Redmond events and marketing manager Lisa Rhodes said of hosting events like Eggstravaganza for the local community. “It’s important for us to help (the Lions and Kiwanis) fundraise and keep the vision screenings going that they do. But also, the free egg hunt, to have as many people as possible come out and enjoy the nice day and do something that all the kids and families can enjoy.”
