Cyclists of all ages celebrated the city’s centennial and its commitment to cycling at last Friday’s 100th Birthday Bike Bash at City Hall.

The event, which featured free food, live music, giveaways and prizes, was held on Bike to Work Day, a national event that encourages residents to ride their bikes to work.

The purpose of the event was to promote bicycling as a commuter option, give bikers a chance to talk to officials about cycling issues in the city and to have some fun with fellow cyclists and residents.
