Six years after charges were filed, Emanuel Fair’s trial began on Feb. 14 at the King County Courthouse for the murder of 24-year-old Arpana Jinaga at her Redmond apartment on Nov. 1, 2008.

Prosecutors are seeking a sentence of 45 years to life for Fair, 33.
