Find out what’s new in family history at genealogical expo

Family History Expo IX, offering a wealth of free, genealogical information, happens Saturday, Nov. 14, from 9-5 p.m. at the Redmond Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 10115 172nd Ave. NE (across the street from the Jonathan Hartman ball park complex).

Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the keynote speaker, at 9 a.m., will be Mary Slawson, describing “What’s New in Family History.”

Lunch is available for a suggested $5 donation.

Among the free classes are “A Placename — Key to Unlocking Irish Records,” “African American Civil War Soldiers of Washington,” “German Research in the U.S.,” “How to Find American Revolution Ancestors Online,” “Some Tips on Using Census Records,” “Why the Mormons Do Genealogy” and many more.
