Fryin’ up some good fortune; teen center plays host to Chinese New Year celebration

There was a myriad of activities going on at the event, including spring roll making, stir frying, Chinese calligraphy writing, fortune cookie making and fortune writing. In addition, there was a discussion of the traditions of Chinese New Year and participants learned about Chinese astrology. Staff members also handed out red envelopes, signifying good fortune for this new year, which is the Year of the Rabbit.
