Funeral and memorial services for Jackson Roos set for Monday and Tuesday

Roos Orthodontics will be closed Monday and Tuesday for the funeral of Jackson Roos, the son of owner Bryan Roos who accidentally hung himself on a zip line in the family's backyard in the 8800 block of 255th Avenue Northeast near Redmond.

Roos Orthodontics will be closed Monday and Tuesday for the funeral of 12-year-old Jackson Roos, the son of owner Bryan Roos who accidentally hung himself on a zip line in the family’s backyard in the 8800 block of 255th Avenue Northeast near Redmond.

As requested by the Roos family, there will be a memorial event for the youth in the community, which will be held at 5:15 p.m. on Monday in the four upper fields of Hartman Park at 17300 N.E. 104 St. in Redmond. Jackson’s family has also requested people bring a candle to light at the event. There will be extra candles on hand for those who cannot bring one. The memorial will end with the releasing of 12 balloons in Jackson’s honor.

It is recommended that those attending the youth memorial carpool, park on the street or park at the church.

Following the youth viewing, there will be a viewing from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Stake Center at 10115 172nd Ave. N.E. in Redmond. Another viewing will be from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday at the stake center, followed by a private family viewing from 11-11:30 a.m. Funeral services will then follow from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Internment will immediately follow funeral services at Sunset Hills Memorial Park at 1215 145th Pl. S.E. in Bellevue.
