The city partnered for a third year with Open Kitchen, which is a local, grassroots, all-volunteer program that is fueled by passion to serve others and funded exclusively by donations from the community and local businesses. Every Wednesday from 5-7 p.m., Open Kitchen serves a warm, nutritious, free meal to anyone who walks through our door. All meals are served on ceramic plates and with silverware, cloth napkins are laundered each week, cans are recycled, plastics reused, and all food scraps composted.
