The Redmond Youth Partnership Advisory Committee (RYPAC) continues its Girls Unlimited series with Girls in Action on Saturday, Feb. 5 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Redmond Senior Center, 8703 160th Ave NE. with keynote speaker will be Hydroplane Race Champion Kayleigh Perkins Mallory.

The program is targeted for girls in grades 7-10. Local community leaders will show activities such as kickboxing, skateboarding, belly dancing and yoga. Also available will be a dietician who will share nutrition tips and how to go about reading labels.

Girls Unlimited began as a conference to help empower young women in the community to take charge of their lives and actively participate in the changes that lie ahead. One outcome of the conference was a desire to see girls exposed to a variety of skills and activities.

The event is free, though prior registration is recommended. Those who pre-register will be entered in a prize-drawing.
