Gov. Chris Gregoire’s was not injured after her offical vehicle was sideswiped by another vehicle while she was returning from an event in the Seattle area earlier this afternon.

The driver not injured either.

The collision occurred on Interstate 5 near SR 516 in Des Moines, at approximately 2 pm.

As always, the Governor was accompanied by a security detail from the Washington State Patrol.

Other troopers responded to the scene for the collision investigation and Gov. Gregoire has returned to Olympia. Gov. Gregiore is transported in a variety of vehicles, today she was traveling in a Suburban.
